Well, It's taken the last two days, but now the website (www.btbrowning.com) actually looks like a decent author's website... (IMHO)
Please take a look and tell me what you think. Also, if you've read my book, and haven't posted a review, please think of writing one and sending it to me to place on the website.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say hi, and thanks to all of you who have bought my book, the four reviewers and to Amazon! (Yes, I said to Amazon!) I just found a tweet from December 24th where Amazon tweeted that my book as a best seller! I’m humbled, I truly am. I am also truly thankful to you all for the phenomenal sales! In the short time that the book has been out, there have been over 800 sales counting the freebie promotions!
If you've read the book, please enter a true review on Amazon. If you’re a member of Goodreads, please enter a review there. Thanks again everyone!

Exclusivity Agreements...
Good Morning, Everyone!
Today will be the last day that Twilantia is offered
free. That option came through Amazon’s
KDP Select Program, which in order to be in requires the author to enter an
exclusivity agreement for 90 days. As
time has progressed, I have seen that agreement has been both beneficial and
non-beneficial for me. I am not able to
offer my book to owners of a Nook, or any other format besides Kindle. Therefore, as of February 24th, I
am removing this and any future books from the program. Amazon’s KDP Select program is nice that it
allows for the borrowing of books through their Kindle Prime memberships and it
allows the author to offer the book for free for a total of 5 days during each
90 day enrollment period.
So, therefore beginning on February 25th,
I will be listing my book on SmashWords, Barnes & Noble and others. If you haven’t already purchased a copy, this
is your last chance to get a free copy of it, ever.
Thanks,
B.T. Browning

Six Weeks!
Greetings and Salutations!
Just over six weeks ago, I decided to take a chance and see what would
happen if I published my book, Twilantia:
The Making of a King – Part One, on Amazon.
Well, that was then, and since then it spent 4 weeks on Amazon’s top 100
for Kindle>Fantasy>Historical and Books>Fantasy>Historical
lists! It’s sold over 400 copies plus
almost 300 freebie promotional give-a-ways!
I have to admit that it truly flabbergasted me. There were no promotional events other than
the 4 freebie days, no trailers. Just a
couple of posts on Facebook, the creation of page for Author, and amazing
sales.
There are three reviews on the book on Amazon’s site from
those that read it. Two were really
great, one was “disappointed” but then again, they took the time to post their
first review. I’m impressed with the
book and how it’s doing.
For those of you that are truly awaiting the release the
Part Two, here’s the news you may be looking for… So far, so good. It’s coming along well, but you’re going to
have to wait for the final release to see anything more on it. I don’t want to spoil it for you. J
I know what it’s like to go through the waiting for the
author to release the next copy, and please just know that it is coming!
Happy Reading!

Working on Part 2
Hi everyone!
I’ve
been working on part two every day and it’s going well. I’m still working toward getting part two out
by the end of February and it’s going well right now… After all, it’s only the
6th of January right now and we’re 14 typed pages into the
book. The hardest part of staying on
task with this one is trying to get the story to really flow the way that I’m
wanting. But, it’s a process and a labor
of love, right?
Someone asked me the other day about how long it took to
write a book. I had to be honest with
them on Twilantia Part 1. That book was
started in 1987 (26 years ago), and has been through a few complete
rewrites. The rewrites weren’t due to
not likeing what was going on, but because the writing medium changed
formats.
- Format 1 – Handwritten on notebook paper
- Format 2 – Received typewriter as a Christmas present and started it over…
- Format 3 – Got a computer and word processing software. Start over…
- Format 4 – Computer stolen without backup of work… Crap! Start over…
- Format 5 – Virus infection killed hard drive, no back up! Seriously?! Again?! Start Oveer
- Format 6 – New PC! Now have book on Jump Drive, CD, Hard Copy and one imprinted on stone in back yard. (Ok, the stone thing’s a joke… But, Hummmm) Started last copy…
I’m liking the way the story is going right now, and we’ll
hopefully see Twilantia: The Making of a King – Part Two up online soon.

Twilantia! Wow!
On November 25th, 2012, I decided to publish Part
One of my book, Twilantia: The making of a King through KDP Select. After the publishing process was complete, I
noticed some errors, fixed them and re-uploaded the book to Amazon. Throughout the whole process, the book was
selling. I was amazed by how well the
sales were going without having done any real promoting, having a printed
version or advertising. In fact, and
truth be told here (after all, this is the internet and you can’t put anything
on the internet that’s not true… *smirk. Love that commercial by State Farm*),
the only promoting of any kind that has been done was through KDP’s Freebie
Promotions and through a few posts on Facebook.
By the end of December, 2012 my book had sold 282
copies! Almost 300 people had paid to
read my book. No, that doesn’t include
those that downloaded the freebies either.
If the freebies where included in that number it would be a lot closer to
700 copies. So, yes, I’m amazed that
this has gone so well. After all, this
is the background story to a character I created for a role-playing game back
in 1987 and have been expanding on ever since.
