Hi everyone!
I’ve
been working on part two every day and it’s going well. I’m still working toward getting part two out
by the end of February and it’s going well right now… After all, it’s only the
6th of January right now and we’re 14 typed pages into the
book. The hardest part of staying on
task with this one is trying to get the story to really flow the way that I’m
wanting. But, it’s a process and a labor
of love, right?
Someone asked me the other day about how long it took to
write a book. I had to be honest with
them on Twilantia Part 1. That book was
started in 1987 (26 years ago), and has been through a few complete
rewrites. The rewrites weren’t due to
not likeing what was going on, but because the writing medium changed
formats.
- Format 1 – Handwritten on notebook paper
- Format 2 – Received typewriter as a Christmas present and started it over…
- Format 3 – Got a computer and word processing software. Start over…
- Format 4 – Computer stolen without backup of work… Crap! Start over…
- Format 5 – Virus infection killed hard drive, no back up! Seriously?! Again?! Start Oveer
- Format 6 – New PC! Now have book on Jump Drive, CD, Hard Copy and one imprinted on stone in back yard. (Ok, the stone thing’s a joke… But, Hummmm) Started last copy…
I’m liking the way the story is going right now, and we’ll
hopefully see Twilantia: The Making of a King – Part Two up online soon.
